Week Two

Week Two

Grandma Flo went home after week one and Grandma McMillan came to stay for week number two. We started to see Jeremy's eyes more this week (because he was awake for longer than two minutes at a time!) and we continued to see lots of visitors!

Mommy's hand.
After taking away the soother, Jeremy made many attempts to put his hand/fingers into this mouth. Still having no control over his hands, this was fun to watch!

Shhhh

This is the play mat that we got from Carrie and Mike. We love it!

Clearly, Jeremy loves it too!

The bath took a few hands for the first few weeks. Jeremy doesn't like being cold, but he loves the bath once he is in the water and feeling warm.

Week One

Week One

The first week home after Jeremy was born brought a lot of visitors! It was a bit of a revolving door here and we were so happy to see everyone (and let everyone hold Jeremy). Thanks to all of our visitors!

Jeremy's face was really round when he was first born.

This is my favourite picture of Jeremy. He is sitting in his crib (which he wasn't sleeping in yet) and he had just had a bath.

Justin is trying to get Jeremy ready for a life time of losing...I mean, cheering. This is the only Leaf's paraphernalia that we could find in the house for this picture.

Jeremy loved sucking right off the bat, so we let him use the soother to calm him. Little did we know about a certain concept called Nipple Confusion - and we had to take the soother away for a couple of months.

Our visitors - Week one

This is Geoff holding Jeremy - and Justin holding Brody (born 12 days before Jeremy).

This is Sonia and Kevin, who had just returned from the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. They were all decked out in gear, so we got Jeremy suited up for this picture.

After his first bath - Daddy had some cuddles with Ducky towel.

Grandpa holding Jeremy for the first time.

Uncle Colin out for our first walk with our stroller. Navigating around the snow...

Jeremy Arrives

Jeremy Arrives
Jeremy Peter Fish arrived on Monday, February 15th at 8:20 at night. He was 7 pounds 5 ounces even though he was four weeks early! Jeremy's arrival was a bit scary because the NICU team had to help him breath when he first came into the world. However, he was healthy in no time! Here are some pics:

This is Jeremy while he waited in his little incubator for the team to announce that he was healthy.

Here is the first picture of Jeremy and his Daddy. They both look pretty happy!

Our first family picture. We were still in the delivery room when this was taken and we were listening to the national anthem play for Alexander Bilodeau.

Uncle Nathan

Grandma came to visit before she went to work in the morning!

Grandma Flo was here for the first week to help out at home - this is the picture that we took while we were all still in the hospital.

Grandpa Joe came to the hospital to see Jeremy.

A picture of Jeremy before leaving the hospital on Wednesday morning.
